Open Roles

  • Job Description

Status: Part Time or Full Time

    Reports to: Operations Director

Location: Our service area is northern New Castle County, DE as well as southern Chester County and southern Lancaster County, PA. Our present need is for project managers in Delaware.

    The Opportunity

Good Neighbors is looking for a gifted tradesperson who is passionate about our mission and eager to show the love of Christ to those in need by providing tangible housing repairs.

While most of the role will be conducting hands-on repairs, the candidate must also be comfortable engaging with homeowners, volunteers, and local businesses we contract with on more specialized repair projects. The candidate must regularly attend a local church and have a vibrant walk with Jesus that is reflected in their workmanship, attitude, and interactions with others.

The Project Manager will bring multiple years of home repair or trade experience, but also have a teachable spirit and willingness to learn new skills. Our typical projects can include the repair or replacement of roofs, decks, entryway stairs, drywall, flooring, plumbing and electrical work, carpentry, masonry, and installation of ramps, grab bars, and tub cut-outs. All our repair work addresses critical repairs that make the home warmer, safer, drier, and healthier for our homeowners.

For larger repair jobs, project managers teach and guide our volunteers, empowering them to serve and give back to their community through home repairs.
